DE Da wir laut Wettervorhersage nur ein kurzes Zeitfenster hatten, haben wir eine kurze Wanderung gebraucht.
Mit 1,5 Stunden hat sich die Wanderung zur Cabane CAS de Moiry gut angeboten. Sie ist eine der schönsten Hütten, die wir bis jetzt in der Schweiz besucht haben.
Ausgangspunkt der Wanderung ist der Wanderparkplatz am Moiry Gletscher. Dort finden wir auch direkt das Wanderschild.
Der Wanderweg führt zuerst über Kuhweide. Wir treffen keine Kühe an, aber ein Schild weist darauf hin, die Hunde anzuleinen. Da wir direkt nach Ankunft Murmeltiere hören, halten wir uns daran.
Je mehr wir an Höhe gewinnen, desto steiniger wird der Weg.
Wir überqueren einen kurzen Grat und danach wird der Aufstieg steiler, während wir dem Gletscher näher und näher kommen.
Es gibt zwei kurze Passagen, die mit Ketten versehen sind, aber sie sind dennoch mit Hund gut machbar.
Der letzte Abschnitt zur Hütte ist recht geröllig, mit großen Felsbrocken und erfordert etwas mehr Konzentration.
Wenig später taucht die Hütte vor uns auf von wo aus wir den Moiry Gletscher bewundern können.
Anreise
Auto: Autobahn A9 bis Sierre, anschliessend Ausfahrt 29 Sierre-Est nehmen und Richtung Val d'Anniviers weiterfahren. Im Dorf Vissoie rechts abbiegen auf die Route de Grimentz und Richtung Grimentz weiterfahren. In Grimentz am Dorfende auf der Route de Moiry der Strasse bis zum Ende des Tals nehmen.
Öffentliche: Zugverbindungen nach Sierre, von dort Postauto-Verbindung ins Val d'Anniviers. Umsteigen in Vissoie auf das Postauto Richtung Moiry.

ENG Since we only had a short window of time according to the weather forecast, we needed a short hike.
With 1.5 hours, the hike to the Cabane CAS de Moiry turned out to be good decicion. It is one of the most beautiful mountain huts that we have visited in Switzerland so far.
The starting point for the hike is the hiking car park on the Moiry Glacier. There we can also find the hiking sign that leads us across cow pasture first. We don't meet any cows, but a sign tells us to keep the dogs on a leash. Since we hear marmots as soon as we arrive, we do exactly that.
The higher we get, the more rocky the path becomes.
We cross a short ridge and after that the climb becomes steeper as we get closer and closer to the glacier.
There are two short passages that are tied with chains, but they can still be easily done with dogs .
The last section is quite boulder, with large boulders and requires a little more concentration.
A little later the hut appears in front of us from where we can admire the Moiry Glacier.
Arrival
By car:
Take the exit 29 (Sierre-Est) of the A9 highway and continue to the Val d'Anniviers. In the village of Vissoie, turn right on the «Route de Grimentz» and continue to the village of Grimentz. Cross the village and continue on the «Route de Moiry» until you arrive at theend of the valley.
.By public transport: take the post busfrom Sierre to Val d'Anniviers. Change in Vissoie and take the bus direction Moiry dam. Find full timetable information at sbb.ch.
